Premium annual plans are prepaid, non-recurring memberships. These plans are only available for individual users. You may have up to 24 months of access to Premium membership benefits through prepaid plans at any time. See below for eligibility details.
How the annual plan works
When you purchase an annual plan, you pay upfront for a non-recurring individual subscription. This means that your paid membership benefits will end after the 12-month period that you paid for. You can purchase up to 24 months of prepaid access to YouTube Music Premium or YouTube Premium at a given time. To keep access to your benefits, you'll need to purchase another plan once your membership has expired.
Annual plans are not refundable, cannot be paused and are subject to our travel policy. If you have questions about your annual plan or wish to terminate access before your annual plan expires, get in touch with YouTube Support. Once your access is terminated, you will lose access to your benefits. If you want to report a fraudulent transaction, file a claim here.

Sign up for an annual plan
To sign up for a YouTube Premium or Music Premium annual plan, follow the steps below.
Sign up for a YouTube Premium annual plan
- From a mobile or desktop web browser, go to youtube.com/premium/annual/inapp.
- Sign in to the Google Account where you'd like to start your membership.
- Select Get annual plan.
- Enter your payment details.
- Complete your purchase.
Sign up for a YouTube Music Premium annual plan
- From a mobile or desktop web browser, go to youtube.com/musicpremium/annual/inapp.
- Sign in to the Google Account where you'd like to start your membership.
- Select Get annual plan.
- Enter your payment details.
- Complete your purchase.
After completing your purchase, you can use your YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium benefits across all devices and platforms with access to YouTube by signing in to the Google Account that you used to purchase your membership. You can check the date that your plan ends by going to the Purchases and memberships section of your account.
Annual plan requirements
To sign up for an annual plan, you must:

Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Thailand, Türkiye and the United States.

Change your membership type
To switch to an annual plan if you have an existing YouTube Premium or Music Premium membership:
- Confirm that you live in a location where annual plans are available:
- United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Thailand, India, Japan and Türkiye.
